Special cables

Wide range of single-core, multi-core, miniaturised, UIC, JUMPER system and custom-specification cables.

Manufactured in accordance with current regulations and the safety standards required by public transport. They are also networked with ion-beam irradiation for optimal fire and mechanical resistance, with reduced dimensions and weight.
The cables BETAtherm® ENgine, BETAflam® ENgine and BETAtrans® GKW provide longer service life even at elevated temperatures and therefore higher current-carrying capacities.

Cables have been designed to operate at high temperatures while reducing premature ageing in accordance with IEC 60216 – VDE 0304 Part 21 (see Arrhenius curve).

According to IEC 60216 and VDE 0304 Part 21 (life – operating temperature). Data referring to 20 000 h are derived for a temperature of +120 °C. An increase of +10 °C in operation allows the cable life to be doubled.
