Three days at Fiera Milano Rho discussing certified equipment for rolling stock. We brought our long-standing partners to the fair, together with a selection of solutions compliant with EN 45545 on fire resistance.
Expo Ferroviaria is Italy’s leading event for the rail transport industry. For us it is an opportunity for direct dialogue with manufacturers, operators and technical departments: those who design a trainset need equipment that is type-approved, available and supported over time.
What we brought
At our stand we presented the product families we work on for rolling stock: special low-smoke-emission cables, active infrared sensors for passenger doors, railway cable glands and equipment certified up to hazard level HL3.
The challenge of fire resistance
The recurring topic at the technical tables was, once again, EN 45545-2. The standard classifies materials according to their fire behaviour and imposes stringent requirements on on-board wiring.
